As you may have heard, there was some fanfare a few weeks ago about an application from Microsoft Research called SongSmith. Despite the bizarre promo video and campy sonic style the app is brilliant under the covers and can analyze vocals and generate musical accompaniment to match.

Well, it didn’t take long for the web community to run with it.

Prince launched a new website lotusflow3r.com in anticipation of his 3 new releases for 2009. The design of the website is so bad that only an m-f like Prince could ever pull it off, which makes him even more badass in my eyes.

Ok, so I play with this band called Ethan Lipton and His Orchestra. It’s an insane playwright on vocals, an upright bassist, a sax player and me on guitar. Super fun. Huck produced our last record “Mr Softee”. Anyway, a long-time crazed fan and good guy and some of his co-workers put this video together using scenes from World of Warcraft (I think) for one of the songs on the album. Enjoy!
