CHUCKLEHEAD

Ho, Ho, Ho

Since you all thought the end of the live Chucklehead was in sight, I thought I’d dig deep for the holidays….

Ho: Live in Syracuse, 1993 [http://www.archive.org/details/chead1993-04-17]

Ho: Live in a Strawberries Record Store, 1994 [http://www.archive.org/details/chead1994-10-01]

Ho: Live at Granny Killians, 1995 [http://www.archive.org/details/chead1995-01-14]

These were cassette tapes, now ~ and no matter how Herculean the effort, the sound quality will NEVER be that great. Still 2 of the three are at least listenable. The Strawberries one, well…..

Your Santa Pimp,
J.B.

Give it up for Jason!

Jason B

Jason B is just wrapping up the monumental task of encoding and archiving all of our board tapes. Thanks JB! You can see the fruits of his labor here.

There was also a good amount of video in the archive, we hope to have some of it posted soon.

all she wrote

The last of the EJS booty is in:

1995 Mama Kin’s
11/1/94 Venus de Milo
11/12/93 Quincy Market

And these shows had a few more tracks lying around and have been edited
6/4/94
12/31/92
11/14/92

Unless another private stash comes around (hello, Pat Murray?)….that is all the live Chucklehead there is.

It’s been a pleasure.
JB.

One Stage of Your Journey is Over…

Drew and I have finished Huck’s DAT stack. Saving (some of) the best for last, of course:

12/2/1991 Live on WBRS (Brandeis Radio). This recording was MASTERED and is the basis for Brady and the Dog on BWK. As close to a studio recording as you’re gonna get!

and the rest

Live at the Rat (unknown date)
The Haunt 4/3/1992
Providence College 9/13/1991
The Haunt 9/25/1992
At Some College in Ithaca (unknown date)
The Muse 10/10/1992 [partial upload, the first set will go up this weekend]

8 is enough.

Dick van Patten has nothing on Chucklehead.

8 more shows up from yours truly and the Unstoppable Drew. The 1994 show was unlabeled and may not even be from 1994 but it features the hybrid band with Meyer instead of Scooter.

The Archive…

… has undergone a complete overhaul. New way of uploading shows, new URLs, and the loss of the best way to navigate the selections….

at LEAST they repoint all the old URLs. So if you’re looking for shows, best (right now) to go in and sort by date added….

3 new ones

11/16/96 Planet 505
10/04/95 People’s Club
5/6/1995 Boogie Bar
